The Charm of Chateau Ste. Michelle

This morning, after taking our boys to school, I found myself a few minutes early in meeting a friend for breakfast. If you know me well, you know this is a rarity! :)

So, I turned into the Chateau Ste. Michelle (about 15 minutes from where we live) to take in a little early spring beauty...

The chateau looked like something out of a fairy tale
as the sun was breaking through the hazy fog.

There is an old-world, European charm to this place.

The trees and flowers are starting to come to life...

An old greenhouse, thick with moss, got me
dreaming about the jewel it could be again...

Many lamp posts line the walkways, adding to the charming setting.

I once enjoyed a private (as in thirty people-private) dinner in the Manor House (above). I have never seen so much stemware at one place setting! This coffee, Diet Coke and water drinker was a little confused. :)

If you're planning a trip to Seattle, you may want to stop off
at the Chateau Ste. Michelle. It is a beautiful place to visit...

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    1. I can't either! It is SUCH a blessing to have all this sunshine and an early spring. I know other parts of the country have been getting so much snow and ice. I guess after 15 years of living in Seattle, with its often gray sky and rain, it's apparently our turn for some nice weather! Hope it warms up for you too... Happy weekend! ~julie

  8. This was indeed a cool journey in your sweet blog world. My pleasure I was searching for some ideas of walkways and after getting into your beauty world, I made a search for and this post inspired to stick to. The beauties and charms you explore after taking your boys to school was tremendously exciting and mind blowing. Seriously, I got a total visual feast for my eyes and also for my soul. The early spring beauties in Chateau Ste. Michelle including buildings, blooming flowers, walkways, well shaped green grasses, trees, houses totally made me crazy and fascinating. Love your great experiences.
