Okay, so here's the thing.
Orange might not be my first color of choice, but to a child it IS Halloween...
And can I tell you something? Guess who noticed, right away, the addition of the orange pumpkins? Yes, our three sons.
You would have thought there were wrapped gifts on the porch, they were so happy.
So worth it.
That doesn't mean these pictures, sans orange, don't bring me a sense of calm... ;)
But I've come to terms with late October as the season of orange.
Even the trees in our side pasture seem to agree...
At the end of the day, there's nothing I wouldn't do for my little pumpkins (who are growing by the minute!). I'm guessing you feel the same. :)
Let them have orange!
Xo
The tree leaves aren't turning here yet. Still hot. Your porch is adorable. And yes, to kids orange is Halloween.

Hi Brenda! Amazing how different the weather is in our country! All our leaves have almost fallen now and yours have yet to turn! Thank you for visiting!
Deleteyou are absolutely right, Julie. Halloween is just not RIGHT without orange when you have kids. They LOVE all the colors and 'scary' things--pumpkins and leaves and all that Halloween offers. Someday you can decorate for the Holidays in neutrals cuz the kids will be too old to care. Enjoy it now! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteps. It all looks GREAT and FUN!
You are always so sweet Diana!
