Thought I'd show you a simple burlap sign I made for a little workspace area between our kitchen and family room. I'd been wanting to use an old mattress spring for awhile and am liking the rustic feel it adds. (I'm easy to please : )

You have no idea how excited we are to have a porch! Our last house just had a small, covered entrance and I would daydream about having a real porch someday. My sister has a beautiful country porch that always feels like a welcoming hug… with gorgeous potted flowers, rustic benches and a chippy dresser.

Our porch is starting to come along but there's still work to be done. As with most areas at home, sometimes it just takes awhile to know what you like. And while the possibilities are endless… the budget is not! : )

The 100-year-old antique cradle is sentimental to us… I slept in it as a newborn and so did two of our boys. I love having it out as a "flower bed." : )
