Peonies and Weekend Wishes...

Last year was our first spring here at our little farmstead. I remember how exciting it was to find that there were several peony bushes. (When you move into a home in the fall, you just don't know what spring will bring!)

My favorite color of peony is the really pale pink. Those we didn't have. So I planted one last year and was shocked pleasantly surprised to see it bloom so well again this year. (I haven't always had the greenest of thumbs! ;)

I also like the color of these peonies - they are what I would call an antique cream... with slight hints of faded peach.

I hope you have a wonderfully restful, exciting, productive, celebratory or whatever-it-is-that-you-need kind of weekend!

  5. Gorgeous peonies! Ours are just starting to bloom here in Nebraska, and I'm so excited that they survived the harsh winter and the pounding spring rains. I agree with you--my favorite peonies in my backyard are my pale pink ones, but I'm loving your cream-colored ones...I might have to see if I can find some to plant.

I always love how you style things. It's just like looking at a magazine. :-) Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Beautiful photos. I pinned the one with the pillow in it. The verse really blessed me this morning.
