Cookie Garland & Hot Chocolate Station

With the kids home from school yesterday (due to a wind storm and power outage), it seemed like a good day to put together a hot chocolate station for the holiday season.

I "contained" the station in a vintage crate so that it
couldn't take over our whole counter.

I made a gingerbread star cookie garland using baker's twine.
You can use home baked cookies OR...

You can use these gingerbread ornaments from IKEA!
I chose to use only the stars and had plenty of volunteers to eat their "hearts" out. :)

These little glass jars with chalkboard label and twine were found at Michael's.
 (Just $1.50 a piece!)

Little by little, we're getting ready for the Christmas season!

So glad you stopped in today. Hope your day is going well...
