Magnolia Crate and Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas...

Happy New Year!

I hope you enjoyed welcoming in the new year. We had a fun day and evening yesterday, spent with family and friends at three different homes. It felt like a progressive New Year's Eve! Then our nephews and niece came over, as is the tradition, and spent the night here with their cousins. I think we will all sleep well tonight! ;)

It's always nice to have something special to put out when all of the cozy Christmas decorations come down. My sister gave me this fantastic, rustic tray from Magnolia Market for Christmas...

The card enclosed, from Magnolia Market, read, "We hope you'll enjoy this little piece of Waco." (So fun!) I filled the crate with dried vanilla strawberry hydrangeas from my friend Tracie's garden. If only you could see them in-person.

I've never seen blooms so big...and they have a really cool cone-shape. I can't decide if they look like giant flowers or miniature trees! And then there is the color - which really lives up to its name, even dried.

If you enjoy gardening, or want to learn more about it, head on over to visit Tracie's blog, Fishtail Cottage. You might remember seeing Tracie's home tour, but in case you missed it, you can see it here!

It's been cold and sunny in the Seattle area. We didn't have a white Christmas
after all, just a little dusting one day. But, we've had lots of frost.

Today, when I checked on our chickens, both their water inside the coop
and outside in their yard was frozen solid!

I hope you are staying warm and looking forward to the new year!

So glad you stopped by...

Xo
