A Fall Farmhouse Kitchen...

I hope your week is off to a good start.

For the first time this school year, my alarm didn't go off. I woke up over an hour past when I should have. You know that feeling of running before your feet even touch the floor? I had about four minutes (or so it seemed) to get three boys ready for school, pack lunches and put something on the counter that resembled breakfast.

Ah Mondays!

So, I'm sharing our kitchen, where much of the morning hustle went down...

You may notice that we still have "something to look forward to" in our kitchen. Yes, we still have our painted countertops. And I continue to dream of quartz or marble...

I get a lot of questions about our counter stools. They are from World Market. They get so much use by three growing boys, who are not exactly "easy" on furniture. Almost three years later, and they still look like new!

The sweetest fall touch was this garland our 7-year-old made. He colored all of these fall pictures, and cut them out to hang. I don't think we've ever seen him sit still that long.

Ever

I glued the fall images to twine and hung them after he was asleep one night. The next morning, someone was pretty proud of himself!

I made the sign above the sink ("The Little Market" in French). You can find the DIY instructions, which would work for any words you choose, here.

Thank you for stopping by today. It means so much to me.

    1. Thank you Angela! We found the olive bucket at an antique mall in Seattle. It came from France, and the price reflected that. Lol. But, it was a fun little splurge from my husband for our anniversary.

  2. Julie- I love the sweetness of your kitchen. I can just see those boys sitting there jostling each other as they get ready to go off for the day. Cute little banner. I bet he was proud as punch to see that you had hung it up. xo Diana
