Happy New Year! {and Heart of the Farm Planner}

Happy 2018 friends! I'm feeling excited and hopeful about the coming year, and hope you are too.

My husband and I have an on-going debate about our family calendar. He wants me to input everything into my iPhone so that we can sync-up calendars. I agree that this is helpful.

However... I am a visual person. I'm also a list-maker. And there are about a zillion things I attempt to get to each week (key word - attempt ;). I'm not going to spend the time inputting each of those little things into an online calendar. Plus, I like to be able to look at a week at a time. Or a month at a time. For me, there's still just something about paper and pen.

Last year, I admired this beautiful planner made by Cory at Heart of the Farm Planner
And this year, I'm over the moon to have one!

Here's some of the things I love about this planner:

It's gorgeous. I chose the Buffalo Check, but it also comes in a Vintage Floral.

It includes inspirational quotes and farm lifestyle photography.

Each month begins with a section for dreams and goals. (It's a new year - dream big!)

The Monthly View provides a big-picture (2-page spread) for your long term planning, events, activities, deadlines, and reminders.

The 2-page Weekly View is horizontal across the page. Using the weekly dated calendar, each day, you can write your Daily Top 3 priorities. This helps you zero in on your top priorities. You can always add more items. There is also a Master Top Priority checklist where you can record and store your items as you think of them.

Sometimes we get so caught up in all the things that need to get done that we miss opportunities to play and explore with the people who mean the most to us. This planner has Seasonal Bucket Lists for Family Fun. Love that!

This planner also includes some great menu planning tools. Who else is feeling like it's time for some healthy, square meals after the holidays?!

The planners come in a beautiful keepsake box.

You'll also want to check out Cory's shop for other unique items like these adorable wooden spoons:

  1. I'm WITH you my friend when it comes to pen and paper!
    I have used a small planner from year to year. I pretty much stick with the same one--find it gives me sense of security somehow. (We DO enter shared events on smart phone calendar. That is good, too....)
    Happy New Year.
