Farmhouse Style Entertaining...

Farmhouse style and entertaining are a natural fit...

Relaxed and welcoming, a farmhouse gathering is about enjoying time with family and friends, and putting guests at ease. I picture long farmhouse tables with mismatched chairs and weathered benches. String lights, and fresh herbs and flowers in simple pitchers and jars. Plenty of food to go around, laughter and conversation between friends...

I love mixing galvanized metal with wood for a rustic-meets-industrial table that works well in either a vintage or modern farmhouse. I recently came across some amazing galvanized serving pieces, full of farmhouse charm. (And the prices are really good!) I purchased several of these items for our own home, but wanted to tell you about them too.

It was love at first sight when I saw this Farmhouse Drink Dispenser and Folding Stand

This 2-Tier Rectangular Serving Tray is the perfect size to stack plates on the lower tray and food above.

How handy is this Galvanized and Wood Turntable (lazy susan)?

Oh how I wish I had stocked up on these Natural Jute Square Placemats! I'll be ordering more for sure.

I found the little caddy that's holding the napkins and silverware ("goldware" actually ;)
a couple of months ago at Michaels, but how cute is this one?!

Are you looking forward to entertaining as the weather warms up? I think it's becoming more and more of a lost art as schedules get fuller and fuller. But there's nothing quite like having your home filled with family and friends. And doesn't it feel nice to be invited into someone's home? That sense of community is a special thing that takes some effort, but is so worth it.

Do you typically host any gatherings, or have plans to? I'd love to hear your philosophy on entertaining, as well as any tips and tricks to make the time special, simple, or both!

Thank you for visiting today...

  1. No, I don't really entertain. But that doesn't mean I don't decorate to the hilt! Your space looks so lovely and your table looks like a page from a magazine.
