Fall Reading Nook...

As the rain returned to Seattle, I brought an outdoor
chair inside for a cozy reading nook in our family room...

A warm throw blanket and gray linen down-filled pillow (both from IKEA) make the space more inviting.

A stand-up lamp just in case anyone actually wants to crack a book open in here... There's usually more sectional vaulting and wrestling than quiet reading these days, but we can all appreciate a good "nook" can't we? (In case you're new here, we have three growing boys!)

I actually did read in this room with our youngest yesterday. As soon as I opened the book, he ran off to forage for snacks to enjoy with the story. That's always a good sign he's in it for the long haul. :)

Indoors in the fall... it's all about texture!

A side table (or in our case, a small chippy bench) for books and perhaps a little stool for a warm drink...

Thank you for stopping by today.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    1. IKEA! Hopefully they'll bring them back again this season... if they do, they sell out pretty quick (at least they did last year). So scoop them up while you can! :)
