Christmas Stairway and Gallery Wall...

Along with dreaming of a white Christmas,
I've been dreaming of a family gallery wall for awhile now!

I couldn't decide on white or black frames... color or black and white photos. And then there was the daunting task of deciding which pictures to use! But now that it is done, I love it. I enjoy looking at the pictures of my family and special memories every day...

The frames and photos were an early birthday gift from my parents (Thanks Mom and Dad!). Since I needed a lot of frames, and to keep costs down, I decided on the black RIBBA frames with white mats from IKEA. I think they are good quality at a great price. Since they are hung on a white wall, I'm glad we went with the black instead of the white frames. I think the frames add a touch of "modern farmhouse" to our mostly vintage farmhouse style home.

I decided to use black and white photos. We ended up using all size 11 3/4 x 15 3/4" frames but alternated the size of photos.

Some frames I hung vertically and some horizontally.
(It was a trial and error process. :)

Thank you for visiting today.

I hope this first week of December is going well for you!

  9. I love gallery walls, one such as yours filling up your stair case wall makes a really bold statement.
I don't have a staircase wall or a proper entry, but I do have a wall in my bedroom that I have been considering to wall up from floor to ceiling.

Love the railing of garlands and burlap stockings, the bench is a favorite with that mini tree boxed like it had been freshly cut from the farm.

    Inspiring here dear,
    See you soon.

    Xx

  11. Lovely ! It's so pretty and natural, and as to the gallery wall I had to smile as it reminded me of the one I had when my sons were growing up. I had photos going up the stairs, and in many other spots in the house : ) Yours looks wonderful.
