A Farmhouse Christmas Porch...

Hi friends ~ so happy you stopped by today! Welcome to our front porch, where I wanted to create the feeling of a mini Christmas tree farm. I found the small trees (above) at our local feed shop one day as I ran in to grab a bag of layered (chicken) crumble. It just goes to show I can shop anywhere. Ha!

A couple pairs of children's ice skates hang on one side of the door, while a cheerful bright red plaid scarf frames the other side. You know how I adore that vintage chippy wheelbarrow and use it everywhere?! Here she is again, stacked with firewood.

In the summer, I filled a collection of galvanized buckets with flowers and herbs. I loved the farmhouse simplicity of that so decided to replant the buckets with trees.

I debated between a green or snowy white wreath, but thought the green looked better against our newly-stripped raw wood door.

An antique European bucket and sled hold the smallest of the trees our family brought home from the mountains. (Don't worry, we had permits!)

Have you begun decorating for Christmas or are you holding out until after Thanksgiving?!

I'd love to hear what you're up to!

Xo
