I had a few extra minutes today before picking up my bright-eyed Kindergartner.
So naturally, I decided to take a quick stroll through a favorite thrift shop. :)
As I was on my way out, I saw this box and wondered... At $7.99, was it just an empty silverware chest? And here's the thing - I almost kept walking. I mean, what are the chances that there would be something good inside for that price? And, I didn't come in looking for silverware. Thankfully, curiosity got the best of me...
Inside I found vintage (1968) Cellini Romanesque flatware gold electroplate.
Beautiful for fall (or anytime really!)...
So my lesson learned? When treasure hunting, take a minute to open that box! Look a little closer... You never know what you might find.
Hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteThat was certainly a good find! there's no telling what I've passed up because of not giving it a closer look! Gosh, I feel so old now. That silverware (you called vintage) was not even as old as me!
