A Two+ Year Search... {Vintage Industrial Style Sconces}

 We have many sconces in our house. In some areas - like our living room, master bedroom and hallways - there are only sconces, no overhead lighting. In other rooms - like our dining room - there are sconces in addition to overhead lighting.

When we moved into our house about 2 1/2 years ago, the sconces were a frosted "shell" style. Not my favorite. (Though outdated in style, they did provide nice light.)

Over the years, I kept my eye out for sconces that would be almost understated
(since we have so many), but would also add some farmhouse charm and provide a good amount of light. A tall order for a petit light fixture! ;)

I am loving our new sconces from Industrial Light Electric

We ordered the Industrial Wall Lamp - Wire Cage Wall Sconce Lamp and then requested that they change the cage to the scalloped wire cage.

We originally ordered just a few for our dining room and downstairs hallway. We liked them so much, that we went back and ordered more for the other rooms in our house!

We used vintage-inspired Edison bulbs to complete the look.  The light this sconce and bulb provide is beautiful in the dining room. We may experiment, using a brighter bulb in some of the other sconces in rooms that don't have as much natural light.

We have several more sconces to install throughout the house. It's such a good feeling to see them go up... especially since it's been so busy with end-of-school-year activities - not much else is getting done around this place at the moment!  :)

I hope your week is going well. Thanks for stopping by today!

I received compensation for this post, but the opinions are my own.
