Hi Friends!
It's been quieter than usual in my little corner of blog land. I've been summering with my family and trying to slow down the hands of time.
I hope you are doing well and enjoying this season of longer days, hopefully some leisurely breaks from routine, and sunshine.
Speaking of sunshine, we had planned a picnic at the park for my sister's birthday. We thought it would be a fun outing, where the kids could spread out and play.
So when we woke up to gray skies and steady rain, plan B went into full swing. Birthdays only happen once a year (even if the years seem to be coming faster!),
so the show had to go on!
We threw the quilt on the dining room table and spread out our picnic food.
It was a good day celebrating my sister and what she means to us. Along with my mom and some sweet friends, we had nine kids and two babies... a recipe for fun! ;)
And now the forecast is calling for a long stretch of sunshine... Bring it on!
Thank you for stopping by today. Blueberry scone? :)
Xo
So fun! I love the quilt and the metal basket that holds the peaches and cherries.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty picnic spread inside!
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun even if you had to change up the plans. Happy Birthday to your sister. Such a pretty spread.

Soo cute Julie! Love the idea!! Looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a good idea! I love the quilt on the table. It's often hard to plan anything outdoors when you can't control the weather.
