Hi Friends ~ I hope you're enjoying the week and had a nice Valentine's Day.
Valentines Day is always a happy morning for me, decorating the breakfast table and putting out little surprises for our three sons to remind them how much they are loved. This year though, had a slightly different feel as the boys literally hobbled down to the table. Two boys have (small) broken bones - one has to wear a big boot on his foot, and the other has a splint. The third son was on day three of a fever.
Mama said there'd be days like this...
Since two of our boys are now in middle school, we only had one batch of Valentines to work on, and one class party. Our second-grader's teacher goes all out for class parties, making them so special and memorable.
You can't help but leave the party with a smile...
It was also my day to teach art docent to the second-graders. We made big collage hearts, and put them up in the hallway. It was a sweet time with the young artists, who all seemed proud of their work.
We finished the day with some heart-shaped pizzas, still limping and feverish, but feeling the love.
And ready for bed.
I'm sharing a couple of photos of our front porch. It's nice to have a little bit of life back on the porch... just a few flowers and plants until it warms up. If rushing spring is wrong, then I don't want to be right. ;) You too?!
Speaking of spring, a friend and I were recently talking about market baskets. I thought I'd re-share this post with some beautiful and affordable market baskets that are available online. Just in case you're in the market for one...
Thank you for stopping by today.
How was your Valentine's Day? Are you staying healthy? Are you ready for spring? Let me know in the comments below... I love hearing from you!
I'm working on a post that I can't wait to share with you...
Be back soon!
Xo
Spring can't come soon enough! Minnesota has been C O L D!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour porch looks beautiful - and reminds me just how much I want the warmer temps so I can put flowers out on my porch!
Hi Jen ~ Yes, I am with you in being ready for spring! Only I think you deserve it more than me, enduring a Minnesota winter. :) Thank you for your kind words. Hope you have a great day!
DeleteThe porch is beautiful. We are still looking at snow and won't see any pretty flowers for awhile here in Illinois. So it was nice to see your pretty porch.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Hugs,
Kris
Hope your boys are feeling better! It's not fun for a mama to see her kids feeling sick. I can't wait to add some color to our porch. We are leaving on the first for a couple of weeks, so I'm forcing myself to wait. :) Love the basket and can't wait till I can pick Lilacs from my garden!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
