Decorating for Early Fall in the Family Room...

Our kiddos are getting ready to head back to school and the weather has started cooling down. Even though it's still officially summer, back-to-school time reminds us that autumn is right around the corner.

Sun faded flowers, antlers, and a few pale pumpkins help transition our home from summer to fall...

As we head further into the season, branches with changing leaves will be added along with (hopefully!) some pumpkins from our garden...

Hope your last weekend in August is a great one!

  1. A wonderfully cozy change in season over here. Soft and inviting, another great year in school for your boys the excitement must be getting the best of them? They will have a lot to write about when the teacher has the, write about their summer vacation.

Looking forward to sharing the up coming season with you. I am busy with refinishing an armoire

    1. Thank you so much. It came from a very old farmhouse... I purchased it from a lady who grew up in the home. This door lead out to the barn. Fun little piece of history! :)

  4. Your living room looks so comfy and cozy! Summer into fall is usually a slow transition for me...I'm usually in denial that the summer is over.

  5. Very pretty! I love neutral spaces. The 'GIVE THANKS" on the pails is so cute. I would love to see a close up of that unique piece in the corner.

  10. So cosy! I could curl up there and never leave. Is your sofa from Ikea? If so what pieces did you purchase to make it different seating on either side?
