Sundays at Home {Link Party}

"If you're not barefoot, then you're overdressed." - Unknown

Those words definitely describe summer life here at our little farmstead! I've stopped faking shock that our kids don't have shoes on when guests drop by. Half of the time, I don't either.

We hope you're enjoying these warm August days, and we're so happy you've joined us for Sundays at Home! Thank you to everyone who linked up your posts last week. Some of you are clearly hitting your summer stride, while others are getting a jump on back-to-school and fall ideas. We're looking forward to seeing what you share with us this time. But before we jump into the party, here's what Kristy, Jennifer, Sheila, Susan, Kelly and I have been up to this week...

Sundays at Home {Link Party}

After two weeks of traveling to Sweden and England, it feels good to be home!

Gathering eggs from the coop for pancakes this morning felt like a welcoming task after being away. And I've almost gotten us caught up on laundry, but are we ever really? That basket will be full again tonight... :)

What are you up to this weekend? Getting caught up, rested up, or having fun I hope!

Sundays at Home {Link Party}

Welcome back to Sundays at Home! It's been a really busy stretch at our home... within five days time, we celebrate our youngest son's birthday, Father's Day and my husband's birthday. We are also prepping for a last-minute trip across the pond (I can't wait to share more with you soon!). We were early (so unlike us) for our appointment at the passport agency a few days ago, so we headed over to The London Plane for coffee and a snack. If you are ever visiting Seattle, you'll want to put this restaurant/flower shop on your list of places to go. Just look at these peonies!

Sundays at Home {Link Party}

Welcome back to Sundays at Home! So happy to have you here to either browse through the inspiring home decor posts below and/or link up your recent posts.

Our kids just finished up their last week of school so we are officially on summer break! Now if only we can get the weather to cooperate. It turned cool here again in Seattle and is raining as I type... so it kind of feels like we should be heading to the pumpkin patch, not the pool. So if you're in a warmer climate, please send us some of your sunshine!

Sundays at Home {Link Party}

Thank you for joining us here again for Sundays at Home. We hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

To all of those who have served our country, or who have family members who have served, thank you so very much. We know there is a great cost for freedom. You have our deepest gratitude...

Welcome to Sundays at Home!

We hope you're enjoying the weekend and ready for all the inspiration shared below by the many bloggers who join us here each week. Whether you're sharing your recent projects, browsing for ideas, or doing both - thank you for joining us!

Here at our little farmstead, we've had a big week. We just brought home three adorable Southdown Babydoll lambs, and also added a new batch of heritage breed chicks. I'll be sharing more about them this coming week here on the blog, along with more farmhouse spring decorating.

And now, on to the party!

Sundays at Home {Link Party}

Welcome to Sundays at Home!

This week, I thought I'd start us right off with a feature... Roxanne, who blogs at the Honeycomb Home, turned a cool flea market find into the perfect DIY Side Table for her living room (above). What a great conversation piece!

Sundays at Home {Link Party}

Welcome to Sundays at Home, your weekend source for inspiration of all things home - interior design, DIY projects, recipes, gardening and seasonal decor. We hope this first weekend in November is a great one for you, and we anticipate a lot of great link-ups for both the fall/Thanksgiving season and the approaching winter/Christmas season.

I took the picture above, of our side yard recently, but just yesterday we woke up to snow! It was the earliest snow in Seattle in 45 years. So we are definitely in a weather and decorating seasonal convergence zone over here!

Sundays at Home {Link Party}

I hope you're having a great weekend! Over here, we're on the tail-end of soccer season, and basketball has begun. It occurred to me that we haven't visited one of our local pumpkin patches yet. I may be partial, but I think we have some of the best ones here in the Pacific Northwest. When our boys were younger, in half-day school, we would have been to three by now! I'm not willing to let the tradition go... But instead of riding the spotted cow train, we'll probably hit the corn maze. ;)

I hope you're enjoying this beautiful season, and I'm so happy you've joined us today. Let's get onto the party!

There were some truly wonderful link ups again this week! You all are so creative, I just LOVE exploring and being inspired by the wonderful range of ideas! It is always so hard to pick just three, but let's have a look at our features!

 First up, if you are savoring the bits of sunshine as the days begin to get shorter and shorter, then you should definitely check out this Sunflower tea from Diane at An Extraordinary Day! It is sunny and welcoming and is full of lots of inspiration to help you entertain while letting yourself off the hook of feeling the need to be perfect. It's a wonderful post!

One look at these adorable Woodland Animal Treat boxes - that you can print at home!! - was all it took. Craft love at first sight! There are more adorable treat boxes in last week's link up too! So if you are looking for more, scroll through those!

I am completely crushing on this rusted blue milk can featured on Roxanne's front porch at The Honeycomb Home! I mean, just LOOK at it! Chippy blue perfection! She shares some lovely ideas for decorating your porch but I have to admit to not being able to take my eyes off of that can... (cue Frankie Valli song in the background now please!) :-)

Congratulations to our featured bloggers!
We will be sharing your beautiful work on our Sundays at Home Pinterest board & on our FB pages and Instagram accounts throughout the week. Follow our board & pages to see.

So nice if you would follow us on Instagram
