{Vintage Nesting Boxes}

 I hope your week is off to a great start!

I spotted these vintage tin nesting boxes several weeks
ago at one of my favorite shops - M & M Antiques - in Monroe, WA.

Yesterday, my husband picked them up for me as an early birthday gift! (Love him.)

So kind of him, especially considering the thought of putting chicken
nesting boxes in our home would have only occurred to him the day after never.

They add a touch of "vintage farm" to this room...

…And provide a unique display area.

So glad you stopped by!

All the best from our roost to yours…

  6. Oh.....my......gosh!!! I'm in love with those nesting boxes. It is PERFECT in your home and adds so much farmhouse charm. I wish I had something like that somewhere. Great find! My husband would've shrieked at the notion of putting that inside our house, but would've gotten over it after I explained the trend to him. Just like my old garden gate above the mantel. He knows to expect "odd" things to be brought home. LOL! Btw, is your L shaped sofa from Ikea? I love it!

    1. Good thing they love us! I like to think this sort of thing "grows on him" over time, but really he just lets me do my thing for the most part… though he did ask me to keep our wood fencing outside and I agreed. :) Yes, IKEA sectional - - cleans up great!

  10. I agree with Shannon, the first thing I thought was how great the candles look illuminating them. A great find for sure. I have chickens so I would've had a hard time choosing between using it in the chicken pen or the house. :)

  18. I love your comment about your husband thinking of putting this in your home "the day after never". Made me laugh. I think a lot of us have husbands like that. It's actually a cool idea. I actually would not have thought of that either so kudos to your husband! You have a cozy living room and I love the touches of candlelight. I have a bunch on right now! Blessings, Diane

  19. Great nesting boxes. In the house... Why not? I have a coop with VERY old nesting boxes. I am planning to move and those nesting boxes will be coming with me to hang on a new wall on a future design project. What us women think of - lol.
