3 Farmhouse DIY Projects (When Skies are Gray)

These are the days in Seattle when we have to dig deeper to keep our spirits up.

The skies are gray.

Dark gray.

The rain is not letting up.

The anticipation of Christmas is either over,
or 346 days out... depending on how you look at it.

In case you're experiencing a touch of the winter blues, or cabin fever, I thought I'd share a few (totally doable) DIY projects that will add some charm to your winter (or any season really) nest. Just click on the link below each picture for instructions...

Vintage Inspired Sign

No Sew Grain Sack Pillow

Cozy Yarn Wreath

So glad you stopped by today.

The sun will come out tomorrow.
(We can only hope.)

Happy creating!

  3. I love these projects! I think the sign is my favorite. I hope the sun will finally show its face where you live. I hate endless cloudy rainy days. We all need a little sunshine to cheer us up! Thanks for joining the party this week too.

  7. I have yet to tire of the winter yet! The colder the better for my days creating. I love the greyer days, and the rain, it seems to calm my days and inspires getting some work around the home done.
I have mostly been working with my pottery, and looking forward to an etsy filled with French farmhouse pieces.

Your kitchen cabinets remind me of mine, perhaps they are the same, I posted a posting back with my kitchen in the way...I am still looking now two years for knobs for them, I have no idea why I have waited this long, perhaps a post on why drawer pulls and knobs are such a difficult design choice. I think it's the mood we are in and the look we want for that moment :)

Love your larger then life sign and seriously plane to paint one up here if I ever stop for a moment and give myself a break to create something for myself :)

Keep inspiring grey rainy days....I love them :))
