We are well into December, with all of its hustle and bustle, aren't we?!
Today is the last day of school for our boys before Christmas break, which means class parties and activities galore! So earlier this week, while the kids still had school, I was blessed to have a few dear friends over for a Christmas lunch, where we also celebrated a couple of birthdays.
It was fun to set the table in a way I thought these sweet girls would enjoy. I used a variety of white and off-white candles, fresh pomegranates, and greenery with berries. It was a simple centerpiece that didn't take long to put together.
I was happy to find the vintage car and truck soaps with
mini trees tied on top at Anthropologie for favors.
I tied these vintage style flashcards, all with different holiday words, to the napkins. I've enjoyed using the flashcards (from Haystack Mercantile) around our house to decorate, and sent one home with each guest.
We drank these Cranberry Fizz Mocktails...
And left to pick up our children from school with hearts warmed by the blessing of friendship and the beauty of the season.
Thank you for stopping by today. Have you hosted, or will you be hosting, any gatherings over the holidays this year? I'd love to hear!

I love the tree by your window! Did you trim it to look that way or find it that way? So pretty! I love the pomegranates used on your table too. We used to have a pomegranate shrub when we lived in Nevada and I would decorate with the fruit at Christmas time and you reminded me that it is warm enought to grow them in Texas, so I think I'll plant one in the spring! I am sure your friends appreciated all your lovely festive touches!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to have your own pomegranate shrub! I don't think I've ever seen one. Thanks so much for your kind words and hope you have a wonderful Christmas Lisa!
DeleteThat Tree is sensational. Such an authentic farmhouse feel very peasant like, and this feeling here warms my seasonal heart.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful Farmhouse Christmas to you and yours.
