Don't panic. There's still time! Are you in search of a special gift you can make from the comfort of your own home? (Or perhaps you want to tuck this one away for January - that's okay too!) A windowsill herb garden is a thoughtful gift that will bring a touch of nature and life inside, and will last after the Christmas tree and decorations come down. Fresh herbs make cooking healthy foods more flavorful...Perfect for the new year, after holiday meals and cookies have been enjoyed! ;)
Despite where you are on your to do list, take a moment to breathe deep & enjoy the beauty of the season. We have inspiring posts to share today to help you do just that.
Hi Friends ~ Thanks for visiting during this merry and full time of year! Perhaps you need some last-minute decorating ideas, or maybe you just need to relax and let your mind wander for a few minutes... Either way, I'm glad you stopped by!
I love this hand-made merry & bright sign I found at a little co-op in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho last year. This picture was taken last year, but I used the sign again in our dining room this year. The log candle holders provide an outdoors-inspired winter feeling.
Thanks so much for joining us here at Sundays at Home! With the holiday season in full swing, I'm sure you are all busy with decorating, shopping, entertaining and general "merry-making." We are here each week to inspire you and be inspired BY YOU...so keep sharing all your wonderful ideas with us!
Happy December friends! It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas! And one Christmas look we love is Jamie's beautiful and whimsical Snow Globe Mantel...
I'm happy to be joining a a holiday tour hosted by my friend Kelly of My Soulful Home.At the end of this post, you'll find a fun giveaway, as well as links to several more tours full of Christmas inspiration...
So glad you're here!
Here at our little farmstead, we've not only decked our halls, but also the chicken coop (above)... And some of the Christmas cheer may have spilled over into the barn! I hope you'll stop by again in the weeks to come, where I'll continue to share farmhouse Christmas decorating ideas leading up to Christmas... (Too much to share in one post!)
Welcome to the Thanksgiving weekend edition of Sundays at Home! We hope you've had a spectacular Thanksgiving holiday and maybe even a little fun with Black Friday shopping!
We've been putting finishing touches on our Christmas decor and had so much fun seeing all of the amazing creations and inspiration that you all shared this past week.
Hi friends ~ so happy you stopped by today! Welcome to our front porch, where I wanted to create the feeling of a mini Christmas tree farm. I found the small trees (above) at our local feed shop one day as I ran in to grab a bag of layered (chicken) crumble. It just goes to show I can shop anywhere. Ha!
Hi friends ~ Welcome to Sundays at Home! It was an exciting week at our house... We had a Christmas photo shoot for an upcoming project I'm working on. (I cannot wait to share it with you just as soon as I can!) So you'll forgive me for sharing a Christmas image the week before Thanksgiving? I'm finding that many people have very strong feeling on this. But rest assured, we can have thankful hearts with either trees or pumpkins in the background, can't we!
With that said, I want to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. You are among the ones I am thankful for, and I feel very blessed that you would share a small part of your day here with me... thank you!
It was fun attending a couple of vintage markets last week. Like many of you, I love hunting for special, one-of-a-kind timeworn treasures. I also enjoy seeing how the vendors display their items... from creative backdrops such as garden gates and antique doors to the artistic way they style shelves... There's always so much inspiration!
Here are three Christmas decorating ideas inspired by the vintage market, The Great Junk Hunt...
I hope everyone has been enjoying this Christmas season. We were excited to have a white Christmas here in Seattle! (They are very few and far between... the last time it snowed on Christmas was 9 years ago.)
We hosted family for Christmas Eve dinner and thought it would be fun to have the barn decorated for dessert. So, after dinner, we told everyone to get on their coats and headed to the barn. (It was dark then, but I wanted to show you the snowy barn... though we didn't decorate the outside of it this year. So many possibilities, so little time. ;)
We are now into the December 20's... Ready or not, here Christmas comes! This time of year can be such a mixture of emotions. (And I think I may have had them all within the last 72 hours. Ha!) But I hope that what we hold on to most during this season (and beyond) is the joy and hope of Christmas.
Below, I've rounded up this year's Christmas and winter posts from our home and shop space. Just click on the link or picture to see the whole post. Thank you for sharing in this season with us. I hope you and your families have a very blessed Christmas!
The holiday hustle is officially on! But I'm so glad you stopped by today... You are in for a treat! If you have yet to learn of Jesse and his absolutely inspiring Instagram feed, I hope you'll consider this an introduction.
I asked Jesse if I could share some of his pictures and collections with you. So happy he said yes! Enjoy these squares filled with vintage charm. Each one makes me nostalgic for Christmas past, and also excited for Christmas to come...
Do you feel the excitement in the air? School is almost out for Christmas break! Soon they will be home. Wide-eyed. Counting down the days, the hours, the minutes... until Christmas morning!
So today I thought I'd share a sweet and simple idea to keep the little ones in your home busydistracted creative. :) These affordable wood Christmas tree ornaments come in sets of 12, and are perfect for children to paint and decorate.
They can personalize the ornaments with their picture to give to Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles. Or, have them use a picture of them with their friends to pass out as gifts! (The photo ornaments on our tree are the ones I cherish most.)
I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season and not feeling too overwhelmed. I'm trying to take one day at a time and not get too far ahead of myself. (Ask me how I'm doing with that tomorrow! ;)
Today, I thought I'd round up some table settings and favor ideas that we've used here these past few years. They are all fairly simple, and incorporate nature as well as a vintage feel...
Am I the only one who can hardly believe it's December!?
Where has 2017 gone? Its flown by for us here, but Christmas IS the most wonderful time of year, so let's embrace it and enjoy this beautiful holiday season!

I hope you are enjoying this early Christmas season. There's nothing quite like the anticipation, hope and wonder of Christmas! You see it in children's eyes and twinkling lights, you feel it in the hustle and bustle of shoppers, parties and performances, while happy Christmas music plays. (I prefer Frank and Ella, and anything from that era. How about you?)

The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
