Our Farmhouse (Spring!) Porch...

Welcome to our front porch, where we're looking forward to the arrival of spring. It feels so good to have cleaned up the porch and added fresh flowers and plants. I think it's my way of trying to give nature a little nudge that we are ready for spring! Here in the Pacific Northwest, it's not feeling very "springy" yet, but we know its on its way...

I used a mix of galvanized containers and weathered wood for a time-worn farmhouse feel.
The old chair is my new favorite plant stand.

On the other side of the door, I added a few pops of color with pillows and flowers that felt like spring to me.

Herbs like Rosemary and Lavender add a pretty scent near the door. (And with three growing  (often muddy) boys and two big dogs, we'll take all the help we can get in that department. ;)

We're looking forward to getting more chicks this spring, and playing baseball games in the yard. And I'm dreaming of when the lilacs and peonies are in bloom...

On a gray and drizzly Seattle (or wherever you may be) day, it's nice to remember that spring is on its way!

So happy you stopped by today.

Is it starting to feel like spring at your house?

  3. OOOOHHHHH. Such a sweet space. I'm afraid we are still having snow and freezing temperatures here so I can't do much outside. So I will pretend to be sitting on your porch enjoying the view. So peaceful.
Did you use faux or live plants outdoors. I use both.

    1. Thank you Pamela - I used live plants on the porch. It's still gray and rainy here but at least the porch looks happy. Can't wait for the sunshine! Hope it warms up for you soon... Xo
