CountryLiving.com Feature and a Few Fun Junkin' Finds...

Hi Friends! Happy new week...

Could you hear me screaming from where you live? I was so surprised to see our porch on CountryLiving.com! Country Living magazine has been a favorite of mine for years, so it was such an honor to be featured on their site, in the article 27+ DIY Ways to Decorate Your Porch This Summer. You can read it here.

It's been awhile since I've been out junkin'. Yard sales haven't really started up here in the Seattle area since it's been a rainy spring. I'd almost forgotten the "thrill of the hunt." A few days ago, I ran into a couple of thrift shops and scored these four finds for under $15... total!

Ceramic Berry Basket - $2 - I've started a little collection of these. They remind me of picking berries with our three boys.

Candelabra - $3 - I thought this was an interesting piece with all of its delicate arms,
and I like the contrast of the dark iron against white.

Vintage Picnic Basket - $5 - I actually bought this because I needed to transport our little ducklings and chicks into our first grader's classroom for show and tell. :) The lids were perfect for keeping our little feathered friends inside. We returned home with as many as we left with... a win in my book!

Tall Chippy Iron Vase - $3 - The patina won me over. I can picture it full of lilacs... Stay tuned.

What a rush! :) Have you come across any good finds lately? I'd love to hear!

Thank you so much for visiting today.

  1. Shopping with you is almost as much fun as going shopping myself, but I get to keep more of my $$.
