Our Farmhouse Fall Entryway {bHOME Fall Tour}

Come in, come in! Get out of the Seattle rain and warm up in our entryway for awhile before you head off into the crisp autumn air to visit the next stop on our Love to bHOME in Fall Tour. Perhaps you're coming from Charity's beautiful home (Teaselwood Design)Welcome! I'm so happy you're here. At the end of this post, you'll find a complete list of home tours (packed with fall decorating ideas and tips) and a giveaway for a collection of velvet pumpkins. (I hope you win!)

I had fun changing up our entryway for fall. In place of an old chippy dresser, which now resides in our dining room, I brought in these antique theater seats. Extra seating in the entryway works especially well for fall and winter, when the struggle to get out of your boots is real!

Can we talk for a moment about this too-beautiful-for-words, hand-knit merino wool blanket? It arrived wrapped in a huge red satin ribbon. I felt like an 8-year-old on Christmas morning! If you look up the definition of cozy, I'm pretty sure you'll find a picture of this blanket. I love that it comes from ColorWays Gallery, a small, family-owned and operated business, that uses ethically-sourced wool. You can find the blankets here!

And if you've come here before, you know how I feel about CottonWood Shanty scrolls. I love their organic, natural look. They make perfect statement pieces (both literally and figuratively) for every season and any wall (there are even mini scrolls for smaller spaces). The talented creator of CottonWood Shanty, Alyssa, has just listed a wonderful collection of fall scrolls. You can see them all here. This particular quote echoes my hope for our home as soon as you walk in the door... that our home would be full of gratitude and thanksgiving.

I try to model the 'for every breath a song' part of this quote as I drive our boys to school in the morning. The boys love it when I sing to them - especially our two middle-schoolers. ;) For reasons only He can understand, the Good Lord did not see fit to give me a strong singing voice. And unfortunately for those around me, I still do love to sing...

I found this chippy blue antique wood water bucket when I was out looking for items for our new shop space. But I just couldn't let it go, so it came home with me. I filled the bucket with branches from our apple tree, and clipped some hops vines from the garden to hang off the scroll...

Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope you enjoy visiting the rest of our tour friends and their inviting fall homes, including Christy at Our Southern Home who is up next!

  2. Your singing makes me smile. My cousin loves to sing, but is a little to e deaf. It doesn't stop her. She sings right up front at her church with all her heart. And I love hops on anything. They're so graceful. Love plush pumpkins too. Pinned them even!

  5. Julie, I love this! The scroll is perfect. Your foyer looks so welcoming, I wish I could visit you in person. Gorgeous. The Lord didn't bless me with a great voice either, but I always told my kids that, even though they might not appreciate it, HE did! It's a blessing to be on this Fall Tour with you.
