Adding Farmhouse Character, One Grain Sack at a Time...

Happy June!

If you're like us, and have school-aged children at home, you may feel like you're limping to the end-of-school-year finish line... final book reports, projects and parties... baseball playoffs... and a little boy who's dreaming of his sixth birthday party (the day after school gets out!).

Needless to say, we haven't been tackling any major DIY projects around here this week. ;) But I wanted to share a new grain sack that is adding some farmhouse character to our much-used family room...

A really sweet brand - "Calf Manna" for young animals.

There are many fun and easy ways to use grain sacks in decorating.
In case you missed it, you can see our grain sack under-the-sink curtain post here.

We did a 5-minute (grain sack) chair makeover here.

An idea to recover chair seats in grain sack is here

And let's not forget about grain sack pillows! ;)

Thank you for stopping by! Hope your day is going well...

Xo

  2. Oh my, your home is filled with plumpness of grain, feed, and rustic sack beauty in your coverings and pillows.
Your home is cozy country with that feel of old fashion farmhouse.... Love your sign and so remember the post when you made it.

Keep inspiring your vintage home, it inspires us.

  3. I love all the uses you've found for grain sacks in your home. I have quite a few in my "sewing stash" but haven't actually pulled them out and used them. I think you just inspired me to get to it!
