Mini S'more Station {Vintage Toy Stove}

With another summer weekend almost here,
I thought I'd share a scene from one of our recent campfires...

Our youngest son was given this vintage toy stove a couple years ago, when he was four, from his grandparents. The antique shop where they purchased it, said that a grandpa handmade it (many years ago) for his grandchildren. Can you imagine the time and care he took building and painting this sweet piece?

I wish he knew it was still making people smile today!

I thought it would make a perfect little serving table for our s'mores ingredients...

It's fun to use vintage pieces in unexpected ways. And you know, it is yard sale season time... So keep your eyes out, you never know what you might find!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. That's a cute idea. I never would've thought to use a toy stove in that way. Perfect for out by a fire pit to serve goodies on. We haven't sat around a fire yet this year. I love doing that. Hopefully, we'll get to do that before the summer ends. Fall is a great time though since it's not so hot at night. Lately, it has been too hot to enjoy much outside. August is our hottest month, so I dread that!

  5. Looks like so much fun! As for the vintage, I so looked and looked for a kitchen set for my daughter when she was young, and resorted to just building her a stove, and a frig, such cute adoralbe reminders here.

    Love all them un you create for your family.
