I hope you are doing well, friends. Do you have a busy week ahead? Our week started off differently than we had planned...
We returned yesterday from our son's state basketball tournament (in Spokane, the other side of Washington state) to find our power was out. There was a bad wind storm that had knocked down trees and power lines.
We were all tired from a busy weekend of travel. So, when I found out at 5 am this morning that school had been canceled, I can't tell you what a gift it was to turn off the alarm and go back to sleep!
Our power was restored early this morning and our three tired sons got to sleep in ... so it was the best of both worlds!

We've just begun adding a few spring touches, like eggs and flowering branches, in our dining room. It's hard to believe Easter is just two weeks away!
While we were away this past weekend, I saw a cute Easter decorating idea that I am going to try to DIY. I look forward to sharing it with you soon!
Hope your week is full of surprise blessings (and maybe a day for YOU to sleep in?)!
Today, our family is especially thankful for power, lights, heat and the men and women who bravely worked through the night so that we could enjoy these luxuries today...

ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly. I know, yet this time there was a silver lining! :) Hope your week is going well!
DeleteLove seeing the promise of spring reflected in nature's beauty. It's amazing how we take power for granted until we don't have it.
