I don't know about you, but I like to ease into the seasons more than I used to. I remember a time when I used to get out all of the "fall boxes" one afternoon and my knee-high babies and I would string fall all over the house like little pumpkin fairies. :)
Those were very sweet, very busy, very orange days...
We don't have quite as many "boxes" of decorations anymore. Instead, I enjoy using more from nature - real pumpkins, branchy leaves, and lots of texture through pillows, blankets and baskets.
Even though they're getting a little older, our children still love having our home decorated for the seasons. While I favor decorating with neutrals, I try to incorporate things in our home that our boys will enjoy and help them get excited about the season. (Oversized acorns anyone?)
Have you started transitioning your home for fall? Do you make seasonal changes little by little or, are you an all or nothing kind of nester? Do you prefer paler shades of autumn, or classic warmth and color? I'd love to hear!

ps - If you're missing some warmth - even some orange - in the photos above... remember, this is early fall/late summer decor. Stay tuned! ;)

I love your Fall decor! I like it because it's the style that I like, very neutral with texture. I never bring in orange pumpkins. I do use them outside though.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! Thank you. Yes, I sometimes use the orange ones outside too. :) I do love the pale orange and green cinderella pumpkins... sort of happy compromise for girls like us. Lol.
DeleteLove all your fall touches Julie. Just beautiful. I like the neutrals too. I use the traditional fall colors outside in decor but inside I love the neutrals. Happy New Week.
