Our Farmhouse Family Room (A touch of Christmas)...

Happy new week, friends.

One of our sons loves to help me hang the advent buckets from our nesting boxes in the family room. I guess we're counting down...to the countdown.

So much of the Christmas excitement is the anticipation, isn't it? And we're happy to extend that season by decorating a little early. (We are keeping "fall" in our dining room through Thanksgiving. If you missed our Thanksgiving dining room, you can see it here.)

Seems like just yesterday the galvanized bucket was filled with pumpkins. Oh wait, it was. (Not really yesterday, but very recently.)

While much of this room looks similar to last year, I'll make a few subtle changes... like the snowy branches we added beneath the advent buckets.

Man, oh man, are we hoping for snow this year!

The year we moved here (3 years ago), to our little farmstead, we had a couple inches of snow (no small thing in the Seattle area). The past two years, we've only gotten a little dusting. Could this be the year we have a white Christmas?! (And I don't mean inside. ;)

I'm so glad you stopped by today!

Thank you for visiting.
