A Weekend Adventure {Leavenworth, WA}

If you have plans to visit the Seattle area, you'll want to make sure to include an overnighter in the mountainside, Bavarian village of Leavenworth.

It's about a three-hour drive from Seattle, but the drive is actually part of the fun! You'd be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful drive, as you take in mountain views, snow melting into waterfalls, winding rivers, trees and bridges.

Trust me, you'll want to yodel (or maybe that's just me). ;)

And once you reach the adorable Bavarian village of Leavenworth, you may just think you've been transported to the Alps. Okay, maybe not quite, but it's cute! There are unique shops to browse, restaurants to dine, and ice cream cones to enjoy.

Our three sons enjoyed lunch with a view...

On Sundays during the summer, there is "Village Art in the Park."

We stayed here at Icicle Village this past weekend. It's a great place for families, or anyone who likes to play! They have two pools, a basketball court, miniature golf, a small playground, and an arcade (not to mention a buffet breakfast that is included).

Our boys had a great time at the pool.
I loved watching them have fun (and the views weren't too bad either)!

You'll want to explore the beautiful surrounding areas...

We passed this old truck. Good thing there wasn't a "For Sale" sign in the window. Would've been hard to pass up!

So that was our little family road trip to kick off summer.

Where will the open road (or air) take you?

I'd love to hear!

Xo

  5. Thank you share your blog, save my credit from foreclosure in Washington Nobody will prefer to buy a shabby house that has many flaws. Therefore, you should start with the repair work and make the property adapted to the sale. In addition, furniture and old and broken fittings add to the negative aspects of a property. You should remove the unwanted furniture and property of the house and keep it clean with the lawn at the roof.
