Spring Farmhouse Inspiration...

Hi Friends ~ I almost cried tears of joy the other evening driving home from the store... As I turned down the road that leads to our street, I heard the happy sound of frogs croaking.

It's the sound that reminds me of long, childhood summer days.

It's the sound that makes me call my boys to come listen because I want them to remember spring and summertime growing up at their farmhouse.

It's the sound that says goodbye to winter and welcomes a new, sunnier season!

Today I thought it would be fun to round up and share a few spring ideas for your home...

These DIY Burlap Carrots are perfect for spring and Easter. I love the neutral colors and texture!

This old farmhouse chair doubled as a plant stand a couple years ago on our Spring Front Porch. This was back when our door was painted green, before I stripped it.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Spring!

Vintage Farmhouse Decor Inspiration ~ Which Is Your Favorite?!

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you may have visited the town of Poulsbo, Washington, which is nicknamed "Little Norway." Although it's just a short ferry ride away from Seattle, I had actually only been there once before returning this past weekend with my family.

Farmhouse Living: Weekend Inspiration

Happy weekend, friends!

Our front porch is starting to look cheery, two local radio stations have begun playing Christmas music, and our seven-year-old has officially started marking off the days on his hand-made countdown until December 25th. It's coming!

Farmhouse Living: Weekend Inspiration

Okay, friends.

We're heading into the weekend and I'm not about to leave you high and dry, without any reading material. (There may or may not be a pop quiz next week. Extra credit will be given for comments about which article resonated with you the most! ;)

But first, here is a sneak peek at our living room, ready for fall.
(I'll share more on the blog soon...)

Farmhouse Living: Weekend Inspiration

Hello, October.

How nice to start such a beautiful month on a Saturday.

It just feels right, don't you think?

Do you happen to remember the first cable spool clock I made? Well, a sweet friend of mine (you just may know her already... and if you don't, consider this an introduction!) has found the perfect spot for it. See her amazing patio reveal here.

Farmhouse Living: Weekend Inspiration...

As I write this Saturday evening, there are five boys having a ping pong tournament on our dining room table. Laser tag guns and muddy shoes fill our entryway. There's a pile of dishes in the sink. Sometimes, it's not pretty.

Sometimes, like tonight, it's better than pretty... and my heart is full.

Fast forward 18 hours. The party's over. It's Sunday afternoon, everyone is sleepy, and I'm ready for some home decor inspiration. ;)

Keeping It Cozy was one of the first blogs I ever read. I love Andrea's authentic farmhouse style. She recently shared her new wall of sliding barn doors. Can you say, "Over-Achiever?!" Love it Andrea!
